Stewardship Sunday
Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.
O Lord Jesus Christ our God. We humbly thank You for the blessings
You have given us. As You have graciously received our prayers and granted them, so also
deliver Your Church and preserve this nation from every hostile assault. Grant us peace
and tranquility, that we may grow in virtue and love for You, and may partake of all
Your benefits. We will always offer thanksgiving to You, together with Your Unoriginate
Father, and Your most holy, and good and life-giving Spirit, God glorified in three
persons; and will joyfully sing to You. Amen.
(modified from the service of thanksgiving)
Novemeber 12th, Prayer of the week on Luke 10: 5-37 for Stewardship
Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.
O Lord You gave us the parable of the good Samaritan as an example of
stewardship. We pray that we will be like him in our compassion for those in pain and
suffering. May we never walk away from someone who is in need but instead bind them up
with prayer and action. Let us use our riches as wine and oil to pour in their wounds
and offer our time and talent when it is needed. May we show mercy on them as You have
on us. We pray in Your name, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
November 5th, Prayer of the Week on Mark 10: 13-16
Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.
O Lord You expressed Your love for children by blessing them. You are
displeased with anyone who deprives children access to You. By blessing the children You
taught us that we cannot enter the kingdom unless we become as little children. We pray
for your help to become as children with complete dependence on You. Teach us so that we
grow in the Spirit and become Your sons and daughters doing Your will as You receive us
with open arms. We pray in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Amen. |
