June 24th, 2001 Feast of the Birth of St. John the Baptist

Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.

O Lord You made us greater than the greatest born of women. You filled us with Your Holy Spirit and made us temples. We humbly ask as John the Baptist decreased so may we decrease so that You will increase in us and give us a voice to cry in the wilderness of our modern culture, "Prepare the way of the Lord for He is coming." We pray in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen

June 17th, 2001 Fathers and Saints of America Matt. 4: 18 - 5:10

Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.

O Lord You called Your apostles to continue Your work of preaching the Gospel of the kingdom and healing all kinds of sickness. You gave them a rule to follow instructing them to be poor in spirit and meek; to hunger and thirst for righteousness, to be peacemakers and rejoice when persecuted. As they and all the saints of America followed so may we follow and measure up as examples to our families, and be called children of the kingdom of heaven. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

June 10th, 2001 First Sunday after Pentecost on Heb.11: 33-12:2

Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.

O Lord Your Spirit has been given and is filling us so that we can fulfill our ministry. We praise Your love for giving us such a wonderful gift. Help us to nurture that gift so that we can be called saints when Your kingdom comes. Lead us away from those temptations which stifle the work of the Holy Spirit. Protect us from blasphemy so that our works may not be burned up but be an offering at the foot of Your heavenly thrown. We pray in the Name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Amen

June 3rd, 2001 Eight Sunday of Pascha on Acts 2: 1-11

Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.

O Lord You sent Your Holy Spirit to us on the day of Pentecost. Your apostles, filled with the Holy Spirit spoke in unknown tongues. They lifted up their hearts and praised Your Holy name. As we lift up our hearts grant us the words to evangelize in this land. Let our proclamation go out from here to the ends of the earth. May we sing praises that reveal to others that we are truly filled with the Holy Spirit. We pray in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
