Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.
O Lord You announced that You would be rejected, beaten and
crucified and after three days rise again. Your apostles did not believe You. You had
to present Yourself to them in Your glorified body and talk with them, teach them, eat
with them and then vanished out of their sight. For Your apostle Thomas this was not
enough. He required a touch to believe. We pray that we will not need this to
believe. We want to be are among those who believe and who have not seen. Send, O
Lord, Your Holy Spirit to fill us so that all fear and doubt will cease and we will be
able to face our death and say that it no longer exists for You have risen from the
dead and given life to all those in the tombs.
Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen! Christ is Risen!
April 15th, 2001 Pascha
This was sent to me over the Internet. Since I did not write a prayer
this week I thought that this would be helpful to all of you.

Be ye fishers of men. You catch them - He'll clean them.
Coincidence is when God chooses to remain anonymous.
Don't put a question mark where God put a period.
Don't wait for 6 strong men to take you to church.
Forbidden fruits create many jams.
God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called
God grades on the cross, not the curve.
God loves everyone, but probably prefers "fruits of the spirit" over "religious
nuts!"
God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

If God is your Copilot - swap seats!
Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory capacity.
Prayer: Don't give God instructions -- just report for duty!
The task ahead of us is never as great as the Power behind us.
The Will of God will never take you to where the Grace of God will not protect you.
We don't change the message, the message changes us.
You can tell how big a person is by what it takes to discourage him.
Christ is Risen!
April 8th, 2001 Palm Sunday
Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.
O Lord You are the true vine and we are Your branches. You turn our
suffering and difficulties into valuable lessons which deepen our faith. Instead of
being like those who need signs and miracles to confirm their faith we pray that our
confirmation will come in the fruit we bear. For You said, "he who abides in Me" bears
much fruit. O Lord, as we mystically enter Your passion, help us to be loyal
disciples who stand by Your cross as You show us the way into Your kingdom. We pray in
the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit Amen.
April 1st, 2001 Fifth Sunday of Great Lent on Heb. 9: 11-14 & Mark 10: 32-45
Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.
O Lord You are an example to us of what it means to do service. You
came to serve by giving up Your life as a ransom for many. You are first and great and
yet You humbled Yourself and became a servant to us all. As we prepare for this final
week of lent help us to persevere in our humility. Keep our ministry alive so that our
works will not become dead works. As You transformed Your apostles with their weak
faith so transform our weak faith. We pray that You will free us from the spirit of
laziness so that we can sit with You on Your right hand when You come into Your
kingdom. We pray in the name of the Father Son and Holy spirit. Amen
