Movie Club

Director of Movie Club, Ken Stevens.

Name: Ken Stevens
Job: Movie Club Leader
Email: ken.stevens@mccann.com

The Movie Club, is a monthly gathering of interested St. Luke parishioners which allows a discussion of contemporary movies in the context of Orthodox Christian meaning and values...whether in conflict or in harmony. While it is primarily a social ministry, the movies chosen will have rich content and "message." Members can rent and view pre-designated videos prior to each meeting, and then meet socially to informally discuss the significance and the relative merits of the film. Father Harrison moderates each session, playing selected video clips, and asking provocative questions to spark discussion and debate. A survey is conducted, and a schedule is prepared a year in advance as way of allowing members to participate in the selection of videos to be reviewed. -Thanks, Ken
