Director of Charities, Karen Verberder Name: Karen Verderber
Job: Head of Charities
Email: jverderber@bear.com

In Matt 25:35, Jesus identifies Himself with the poor and the outcast and invites each one of us to join this brotherhood of love for others..."for I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. And the King, will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My Brethern, you did it to Me.'"

There is no exercise better for the heart for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up." If we are to walk in Christ's footsteps, we then must serve others just as He did.

Whether it be giving bags of groceries, clothing, monetary donations, or just a hug and a listening ear, serving others is really what our time on Earth should be filled with. If we can commit to only this, we then can truely say that we've begun our walk with Jesus Christ.
