Tuesday April 30th, 2013 - Prayer of the Week on John 12:1-18

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy

O Lord today we celebrate your triumphal entry into Jerusalem. We hold our palm branches high and proclaim Hosanna, Glory to God in the highest. You came personally to us when we were baptized. May we not betray Your entry with us by our love of money. We commit a portion of our earthly riches for the building up of Your Church which is Your kingdom on earth to the glory of Your kingdom in heaven. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen

Monday April 22nd, 2013 - Prayer of the Week on Heb: 9:11-14

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy

O Lord You will return with the sound of the trumpet. You will reveal to us Your Holy city which we only experience as a shadow, a copy, each time we attend the Divine Liturgy. You are our high priest who has entered the more perfect tabernacle with Your own precious body and blood as a sacrifice for us. Grant that we may see through our spiritual eyes this more perfect tabernacle which you made present in Your Holy Church. We pray in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Monday April 15th, 2013 - Prayer of the Week on Mark: 9:29

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy

O Lord you taught us the power of faith as a mustard seed. With it we can move mountains. As we enter the last weeks of the Great Fast, may we put to practice prayer and fasting so we can gain this faith to move the mountain of our own unbelief. May we flee from this faithless generation and join with those saints who have climbed the ladder of divine ascent. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
